Join us on this holiday classic as we travel to Riverside to admire the Mission Inn during its nationally-recognized annual Festival of Lights. The Inn is adorned in thousands of beautiful holiday lights and draped in holiday splendor including intricate animated displays. Built in 1903, it has recently been restored to its original splendor. On an extensive docent-guided walking tour you’ll see the famed Court of Birds, President Lounge, Glenwood Tavern, the Rotunda, St. Frances’ Chapel’s Tiffany glass and more. Next, enjoy an included dinner with choice of entrée and dessert at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Later, we’ll drive through a highly decorated Rancho Cucamonga neighborhood that goes all out during the holiday season, and is recognized as one of the prize locations in southern California to enjoy outdoor holiday decorations! Then a local railroad guide will board the motorcoach and lead us to a view of the famous Tehachapi Train Loop. This engineering marvel has been named one of the railroad wonders of the world and is one of the busiest single-track train lines in the world! Enjoy time at the Tehachapi Depot Railroad Museum. Later, we’ll visit a local alpaca ranch to meet these adorable yet odd critters and learn how their fiber is spun into yarn.
